Welcome to the beaded spiral wire pendant pattern instructions! If you have any difficulty following this tutorial, please post a comment at the bottom of the page on which you are stuck, and I'll do my best to help!

Step 1 : It looks like I've gotten quite a bit further here, but I've just been wrapping the whole thing with simple loops and seed beads at about every 10 loops. Since the last picture, I continued wrapping from where the inner spiral turns up into the centre of the pendant, onwards around the outer spiral all the way back up to the top loop. Then I kept going all the way back down the inner spiral (so this is where I completely wrapped the inner spiral with simple loops and seed beads to hide the backbone 20-gauge wire), and I continued all the way to almost the tip of the central spiral of the pendant. Notice that I tried to match the colours of the seed beads in the inner spiral to the seed beads in the outer spiral. But this isn't necessary at all! It was more coincidental than anything else. I stopped looping when I got to the edges (where the loops are), because these parts are very hard to surround with 24-gauge wire, as it is a bit too rigid and hard to work with for such intricate areas. Also it will look a bit better if these parts are a bit more dainty and less bulky. So the parts that are not wrapped in this picture will be wrapped by 28-gauge wire in the next step. No new seed beads will be added.

Step 2 : I took this picture to contrast 24-gauge wire to 28-gauge wire. 28-gauge wire is very thin and flexible. It's almost as easy to manipulate as string, it's so thin. This is the wire I will use to wrap the loops of the pendant. But if you can't get your hands on some cheap 28-gauge wire (can't find it at the Dollar store, e.g. Dollarama), then rather than give up, I would still use the 24-gauge wire to wrap these parts too. I know it looks like you don't get much 28-gauge wire compared to 24-gauge wire, but actually you get a pack of 6 spools like the one shown (at least, this is the case at Dollarama).

Spiral Wire-Work Pendant : Here is the finished product!! You can see that the loops are wrapped in thinner wire than the rest so they look more "dainty". This pendant looks great hanging from a simple black thread necklace because it should be the showpiece! I tried making my own colourful wire necklace for it, but it poked my neck and it distracted from the pendant anyways. Enjoy your pendant! Another beautiful gift with materials costing under 50 cents! It just might take you a few hours to do, but the result is a very happy gift recipient (or go ahead and wear it yourself, you deserve it after all that work!)
